Elidor release exciting new jazz swing album

Singer/songwriter and bandleader Angus Murray today launches his second major album entitled “It’s a swing thing” on the Elidor label (cat. No. ANM CD004).

The album represents a culmination of ten years of work with his Big Band and builds on the success of the debut album, “Now I know why”, released in 2001.

The album demonstrates Angus’ unique flair for song writing, and the inspired arrangements, penned in collaboration with musical director and alto player Paul Mason, help set this album apart in a vocally competitive and overcrowded market.

Unusually, the album features tracks played by his ever-popular jazz quartet and nine-piece band as well as tracks featuring the full 16 piece Big Band.

Angus pays tribute to the contribution made by the individual players on the recording, saying they are “…quite simply some of the best young jazz talent in London today”.
